A jury's ruling was issued shortly before last May against a policeman who killed black George Floyd with his knees in the neck. All convictions came out for charges such as second-degree murder.

Derek Shobin, a white policeman who crushed George Floyd's throat and killed him, has three charges, including murder in the second degree, murder in the third degree, and malpractice in the second degree.

[Peter Cahill/Presiding Officer: The verdict for the second-degree murder of a felony criminal is guilty. The verdict on the murder of a very dangerous perpetrator in the third degree is guilty.] A

number of protesters waiting around the courtroom cheered all at once when the guilty verdict came out.

Shobin, a former policeman who constantly listened to the verdict with a calm expression, left the courtroom with handcuffs tied behind the trial.

In today's (21st) trial, only the verdict of the jury to judge innocence was made, and within a few days the judge will determine and sentence the sentence accordingly.

A 12-member jury, consisting of 6 white people, 4 black people, and 2 mixed races, has been reportedly debating the verdict, living in quarantine in court during the day and in a hotel at night.

Tensions also increased as protesters gathered in major US cities over the verdict of the jury in the trial that lasted about a year after the Floyd incident, and state troops were put in, but today's guilty verdict has eased concerns about the emergency.
