Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the proposal of Moscow business to stimulate vaccination among older people deserves attention.

“Lack of vaccinations for older people can have grave consequences ... I would pay attention to steps that could show the older generation the risks and threats.

The older generation is full of associated health problems, ”Ryazansky explained.

According to the senator, in this case, it is important for senior citizens to be more conscious about their health and understanding the real threat of COVID-19.

"Benefits will never be superfluous, older people love to be given extra attention, but people should not go to get vaccinated for this," he added.

Sobyanin wrote on his blog that he supported the proposal of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry on a program to stimulate vaccination of the elderly against COVID-19 coronavirus infection.

According to the Moscow mayor, the incentive program should not be limited to trade discounts: as an incentive, elderly Muscovites could also receive targeted support for the purchase of everyday goods and services.
