The decree of the chief state sanitary doctor of Russia was published on the official portal of legal information.
"... to undergo a second laboratory test for COVID-19 by PCR within up to five days from the date of entry into the territory of the Russian Federation," the document says.
The result must also be re-uploaded to a single portal of public services.
The resolution comes into force on April 21.
As of April 20, 8164 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Russia during the day.
On the eve it became known about 8589 cases.
From April 15 to June 1, Russia limited air traffic with Turkey.
Air traffic with Tanzania has also been suspended for this period.
The decision was made in connection with the deterioration of the situation with the coronavirus.
