Los Angeles (AP) - Olivia Colman (47) played the British Queen in the Netflix series "The Crown", with her leading role in the royal court grotesque "The Favorite" she won the Oscar for best actress in 2019.
Now Colman could make her debut in the Marvel Universe.
The British star is to negotiate a role in the planned series "Secret Invasion", as the industry papers "Hollywood Reporter" and "Variety" report.
Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn are already on board for the series from streaming provider Disney +.
Jackson appears in his previous "Captain Marvel" role as agent Nick Fury, Mendelsohn as Skrull leader Talos.
Initially, nothing was known about Coleman's possible role in the superhero adventure.

"Secret Invasion" was announced last year as a new Marvel series, a broadcast date has not yet been set.
In June, the new Marvel series “Loki” with Tom Hiddleston in the villain role is to celebrate its premiere at Disney +.
Coleman is currently in the Oscar race.
