Covid distribution is still high in Kalmar County and healthcare is under pressure.
On Tuesday, a total of 56 people were admitted to the county's hospital with covid-19.
As of today, eight of them will be cared for in a newly established care ward for covid at Oskarshamn Hospital.
- The patients who will be admitted to this ward are those who need hospital care, but not intensive care, says Oskarshamn's hospital manager Christer Svensson.
How long the ward at Oskarshamn Hospital will be used is unclear.
The staff at the ward have previously been loaned to covid care at the county hospital in Kalmar.
