According to him, on April 20, the Czech ambassador informed NATO about the expulsion of twenty Czech diplomats from Russia, following the announcement of the Czech Republic about the expulsion of eighteen employees of the Russian embassy.

"Later this week, the allies will consult on this situation with the head of the Czech Foreign Ministry," NATO said.

On April 17, the Czech Republic notified Russia of the expulsion of 18 Russian diplomats.

In response, Moscow declared 20 employees of the Czech Embassy persona non grata and ordered them to leave Russia on April 19 before the end of the day.

On April 20, First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Hamacek said that he instructed the Czech ambassadors to appeal to Prague's allies in the EU and NATO with a request to take solidarity steps towards Russia.
