Hamburg (dpa) - The newly founded European League of Football (ELF) has announced the schedule and the class division for its premiere season.

The first live game will be played on June 20 (3 p.m. / ProSieben Maxx) by the Hamburg Sea Devils and the Frankfurt Galaxy.

Also on June 20, Berlin Thunder welcomes the Leipzig Kings.

On June 19th (live stream ran.de) the Barcelona Dragons will play against Stuttgart Surge and the Polish representative Panthers Wroclaw will play against the Cologne Centurions.

"We have worked very hard in the past few months to build the European League of Football," says league boss Patrick Esume.

Berlin, Hamburg, Leipzig and Wroclaw form the northern group, Barcelona, ​​Frankfurt, Cologne and Stuttgart form the southern group.

After ten preliminary round matches, two teams from each season qualify for the semi-finals, which are to be played on September 11th and 12th.

The final is scheduled for September 26th.

The ELF intends to name the venue shortly.

Each team plays home and away games against the teams from their own group as well as against two clubs from the parallel relay.

What is certain is that the live game at ProSieben Maxx always starts at 3 p.m. on Sundays.
