In the Academy of Fine Arts, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited the special exhibition of the Academy of Fine Arts to learn about major themes and the creation and display of national image design works.
In the imaging and intelligent technology laboratory, he observes the laboratory's development of computational optics, brain science and artificial intelligence cross-scientific experimental research and development of new technology application scenarios, and listens to the introduction of laboratory theoretical research, technical research, and application of results.
On the second floor of the main building, he visited Tsinghua University’s key teaching and research achievements in recent years, listened to introductions on enhancing independent innovation capabilities, helping the world’s major science centers and innovation highlands, and improving the level of humanities and social science education and research. He visited some old professors, Representatives of young and middle-aged backbone teachers also had a cordial conversation with them.
In the West Gymnasium, he talked cordially with the school basketball players who were training, inspected historical photos and physical exhibitions in the Sports Honor Room, learned about the protection and utilization of the gymnasium, the school inherited and carried forward its fine traditions, and carried out physical education.
In the back hall of the West Gymnasium, General Secretary Xi Jinping attended a symposium with representatives of teachers and students and delivered an important speech.
He emphasized adhering to the goal of building a world-class university with Chinese characteristics, and contributing to the prosperity of the country, the rejuvenation of the nation, and the happiness of the people.
