China Opens the World's Largest Internet Test Facility Backbone Network

On April 20th, the opening ceremony of the "Future Internet Test Facility FITI" high-performance backbone network was held at Tsinghua University.

FITI is currently the world's largest Internet test facility and the first major national science and technology infrastructure project in the information field of my country: an important part of the future network test facility.

With the help of FITI, the number of IPv6 addresses that my country has as a symbol of the beginning of the next-generation Internet jumped to the first place in the world in early April.

The core nodes of the FITI backbone network are distributed in 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across the country. The bandwidth between the core nodes reaches 200G, and it supports no less than 4096 large-scale test networks, realizing the interconnection with domestic and foreign IPv4/IPv6 test facilities.
