Large parts of the trial are expected to be held behind closed doors.

Among other things, the prosecutor will play films that prove that the abuse took place and that it took place for at least six years.

"Will be strenuous and tough"

- We will look at all material that has been secured.

These are upwards of 500 films and thousands of pictures with my own abuse committed on the children, which I will present to the court.

It will be both strenuous and tough, but it is the best evidence there is and it must be done in this way, prosecutor Linda Caneus told SVT News in connection with the indictment coming just over a week ago.

The goal is believed to be one of the largest of its kind in Sweden ever.

In addition to the technical evidence, the court will also hear doctors, social workers and other relatives of the couple.

Recorded interrogations with the children will also be played in court.

Happened in agreement

The prosecutor claims that the accused man and woman committed a large part of the rapes and abuses, and documented them in concert.

She believes that the woman, through failure to act, has committed a crime.

After ending her relationship with the man, she has failed to act despite the fact that, according to witnesses, she has expressed concern about one of the children who was with the accused man.

Both the man and the woman have been in custody since May and June last year.

The man is said to have admitted that he was seen in some of the films but has not formally admitted to the crime.

According to the prosecutor, the woman must have expressed that she only remembers two of the suspected abuses.

Their lawyers have declined to comment and announce that the defense will not give any interviews in connection with the trial.

Another woman, in her 30s, is charged with sexual harassment against one of the children together with the man. She is not in custody and will take part in the trial only in the part where the charge she is charged with is affected.
