In Vilhelmina municipality, the economy has been in a real crisis in recent years.
Among other things, this has led the municipality to save in the education sector, lay off people and close down the village schools in Malgovik and Nästansjö.
Despite the fact that deficits of several million are once again reported, the tone is different when the results for 2020 are reported, as the losses are clearly smaller than in previous years.
- It is a result of very hard work.
We have made very big and difficult decisions, and of course we have benefited from the extra crisis support money, says municipal councilor Annika Andersson (C).
