Düsseldorf (AP) - A twelve-year-old accidentally locked herself in a packing station in Düsseldorf and was rescued by the fire department.
The mishap happened on Sunday around 7 p.m. in the presence of friends of the girl, as the fire department announced.
"The friends couldn't help her either and immediately called the fire brigade and their parents for help," it said.
Firefighters initially calmed the twelve-year-old.
"She sat unharmed in the packing station and was quickly freed with technical equipment."
Then she was examined by the emergency services - and was able to go home unharmed with her parents and friends.
Why the flap of the parcel station was open and it was possible to get in was unclear.
