Gummersbach (dpa / lnw) - Due to the high Corona numbers, the Oberbergische Kreis is aiming to continue distance teaching.
Since the incidence number is currently 207.7, they do not want to return to alternating classes on Monday, as is planned in the rest of the country, the district announced on Wednesday.
This applies subject to the approval of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
"If the schools are opened, it is to be expected that infections from the private sector would be increasingly carried on to the school sector," said District Administrator Jochen Hagt (CDU).
“The risk of infection increases, especially in closed rooms.
We want to prevent possible outbreaks with this measure and prevent further chains of infection from developing in the first place. "
From Monday, the Corona emergency brake, which is provided for in the Corona Protection Ordinance in North Rhine-Westphalia, will take effect in the Oberbergischer Kreis.
The opening steps that came into force on March 8th would then be reversed.
