Wiesbaden / Berlin (dpa / lhe) - In Hesse, 2075 new corona infections have been registered within 24 hours.
This comes from the data from the Robert Koch Institute on Wednesday (as of 3:09 a.m.).
The number of people who died with or from the virus increased by 22 deaths to a total of 6543. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 236 594 infections have been recorded in Hesse.
The incidence, i.e. the number of cases per 100,000 inhabitants within seven consecutive days, rose to 162 on Wednesday. The previous day the value was 142.
The highest incidence value was 292.6 in the district of Fulda, followed by 274.2 in the district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg and 254.1 in Offenbach.
The incidence was lowest in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district, where the value was 111.9.
