Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Andreas Stoch has been re-elected head of the SPD parliamentary group.

The third largest group in the state parliament with 19 members unanimously confirmed the 51-year-old in his office on Tuesday.

He also leads the SPD regional association.

Stoch's deputies are Dorothea Kliche-Behnke (Tübingen), the university expert Gabi Rolland (Freiburg) and Nicolas Fink (Esslingen).

The experienced education politician Stefan Fulst-Blei (Mannheim) also belongs to the quartet.

Sascha Binder, also General Secretary of the state SPD, will replace the former Interior Minister Reinhold Gall as Parliamentary Managing Director.

This had no longer run for the state parliament.

You are going "with great unity in the next five years", in which you would have been willing to "take on responsibility even in a new government," emphasized Stoch.

“But it is important to us that we stand ready for better politics for this country - also in our role as the leading opposition faction.
