April 13, 2021623.419 infections (yesterday 496.398, +127.021) and 9.311 deaths (yesterday 7.090, +2.221) are the numbers that testify to the speed of propagation of the new coronavirus in the last 24 hours. Since the onset of the disease, the disease has caused a total of 136,500,769 infections worldwide, of which at least 2,944,771 have proved fatal. According to WHO (World Health Organization) data, Europe has exceeded one million deaths from Covid.

The situation is critical and the exponential increase in infections shows how the increasing administration of vaccines is still insufficient. At the level of individual countries, the

United States

remains by far the most affected nation with 562,521 deaths, out of 31,267,359 infections. L '

India

does record the last 24 hours a total budget of 170 179 deaths. Confirmed the alarming data of 168,912 infections of Covid-19, a record number for the sixth consecutive day, bringing the total number of infections reported to 13,527,717, more than

Brazil

. The latter recorded 1,480 deaths and 35,785 infections in the last 24 hours. The total death toll rises to 354,617 compared to 13,517,808 confirmed cases.

India approves Sputnik vaccine

India has authorized Russian Sputnik V vaccine, a major local pharmaceutical manufacturer, Dr Reddy, announced in a statement. "We are very happy to have obtained the authorization for the emergency use of Sputnik V in India", reads the statement of the company, which becomes the third largest manufacturer of vaccines in the subcontinent. The exponential growth of infections, just under 10 thousand cases had been recorded at the beginning of February, is worrying the New Delhi government which has blocked exports of the drug Remdesivir, used in patients with Covid despite the World Health Organization (WHO) supports its ineffectiveness in limiting the mortality of the virus, and is trying to speed up the vaccination campaign, one of the largest and most complex in the world.

United Kingdom

Great Britain has reached its target of offering at least the first dose of the anti-covid vaccine to all people over 50 and to vulnerable or exposed people by mid-April. The British government's announcement comes during the reopening of non-essential businesses. "We have passed a highly significant milestone in our vaccination program by offering vaccines to all those in the 9 high-risk groups," Premier Boris Johnson said in a statement. Over 32 million people (out of 66 million inhabitants) have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the Kingdom (where covid-19 has caused over 127,000 deaths), which has maintained the goal

of giving the first dose to all adults by the end of July.
