US President Joe Biden said that American Muslims are still targeted by bullying, intolerance and hate crimes, stressing that this is unacceptable and must stop.

Biden added in a statement, in which he congratulated Muslims on the occasion of the start of the month of Ramadan, that no one in the United States should live in fear of expressing their faith.

The US President pledged that his administration would work to protect the rights and safety of everyone, noting that he would continue to defend human rights everywhere, including the rights of the Uyghurs in China, the Rohingya in Myanmar and Muslim communities around the world.

Biden added that Muslims are leading the US efforts to confront the Corona pandemic, and they also play a pioneering role in developing vaccines, in addition to their work in the field of health care.
