The United States does not plan to recall its ambassador from Russia

"There are no plans to recall Ambassador Sullivan in response to the decision of Russia [to invite the Russian ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov for consultations in Moscow]," a State Department spokesman was quoted by TASS.

Thus, the American Foreign Ministry commented on the CNN publication that American President Joe Biden does not intend to change the head of the diplomatic mission in Moscow in the foreseeable future.

The State Department noted that Sullivan's work is important for the development of bilateral relations.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview with IRNA that the American side cannot in any way abandon the flawed course of maintaining its global dominance.
