Crailsheim (AP) - Bundesliga basketball team Fraport Skyliners from Frankfurt loses its coach Sebastian Gleim at the end of the season.

The coach takes over at league rivals Hakro Merlins Crailsheim, where the Finnish head coach Tuomas Iisalo says goodbye in the summer.

The two clubs announced this on Tuesday.

It has not yet been decided who will be Gleim's successor in Frankfurt.

“It was an unbelievable five years in Crailsheim.

We have had a lot of great moments together, but all good things come to an end at some point, ”said Iisalo.

"I don't know yet what the future of my family and I will look like, but right now my full focus is on the end of the season, which we want to finish as strongly as possible."

The Crailsheimers are sure to have their first playoff participation.

Those responsible have been working on the orientation for the future for several weeks, as the club announced.

“The most important building block for this planning is the position of the head coach.

In this regard, it was important to us to have planning security at an early stage, ”said Crailsheim's Sports Director Ingo Enskat.

"Tuomas was the first point of contact for us, but we respect that he could not make up his mind at this point."
