Usedom (dpa) - With nine live streams of author readings, the Usedomer Literature Days go completely online this year.

The festival will be opened by Nobel Prize laureate Olga Tokarczuk this Wednesday in the Baltic Sea resort of Heringsdorf, as the organizers announced on Tuesday.

The philosopher Peter Sloterdijk, the writers Navid Kermani and Marica Bodrožić, the journalist Andreas Englisch and the former Bundestag President Norbert Lammert (CDU) will also perform under the motto “The Divine” until April 17th.

We promise entertaining, moderated readings in the ambience of the seaside resorts of Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf, Bansin and Zinnowitz.

The Usedomer Literature Prize 2021 is to be awarded to Georgi Gospodinov.

The reading with the writer (“Physics of Melancholy”) will be translated in Bulgarian and German, the one with Olga Tokarczuk in Polish and German.
