Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - The state government is today advising on how to proceed with the corona pandemic.

A government spokesman said the cabinet meeting would also be about extending or adapting the current state corona ordinance.

Prime Minister Reiner Haseloff (CDU) then wants to inform about the results (2 p.m.).

The current Corona rules apply until Sunday.

The federal government wants to regulate the regulations uniformly in the future via the Infection Protection Act.

The state government will position itself as soon as a concrete proposal from Berlin is on the table, said the spokesman.

The federal cabinet also wanted to discuss this on Tuesday.

Up for debate are stricter exit restrictions and an obligation for companies to offer corona tests for their workforce.

Haseloff had so far rejected stricter exit restrictions, at least in rural areas, as ineffective, but was open to stricter requirements for companies.

The SPD and the Greens already called on the weekend to support the planned nationwide tightening.
