Schwerin (dpa / mv) - If you want to earn a lot of money, you should pay attention to its size when choosing an employer.

This is suggested by data published by the State Statistical Office in Schwerin on Tuesday.

While full-time employees in companies with up to 99 employees in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania earned an average gross monthly income of over 3200 euros in the fourth quarter of last year, it was 3491 euros for 100 to 249 employees and 3644 euros for up to 499 employees.

For the next size category (500 to 999 employees), the office cites the average gross monthly earnings of 3912 euros and, for more than 1000 employees, even 5061 euros.

Special payments such as vacation and Christmas bonuses were included in the calculations.

One reason for the higher average earnings in larger companies is likely to be that there are more managers with better incomes.

But also in the individual service groups different pay is made according to the size of the company.

In the middle performance group 3 (skilled workers), the gross monthly earnings in companies with more than 1000 employees amounted to 4127 euros, in companies with up to 49 employees, however, only 2768 euros.
