Munich (dpa) - The Free State of Bavaria wants to break away from vaccination prioritization by the end of May at the latest.

Health Minister Klaus Holetschek (CSU) said on Tuesday after a cabinet meeting in Munich a vaccination offer should be made to all eligible people as soon as possible.

Some of the 100 vaccination centers in Bavaria are already in priority level 3, said Holetschek.

This means that a large proportion of the members of risk groups have already been vaccinated at least once.

Overall, Bavaria has already provided more than three million of the 13 million inhabitants with an initial vaccination, and 860,000 people have full vaccination protection.

The inclusion of general practitioners' practices has proven itself, said Holetschek.
