Vaccines, Figliuolo: "4.2 million doses are coming. 315 thousand doses per day are expected"

April 12, 2021 There are over 4.2 million vaccines that will be delivered between April 15 and 22 to the health structures of the regions.

In particular, the distribution of over three million Pfizer divided into two mandates of 1.5 million, approximately half a million of Vaxzevria, over 400 thousand of Moderna, and more than 180 thousand of Johnson & Johnson is planned.

For the week of April 16-22 it is estimated about 315,000 daily administrations in over 2,200 active vaccination points throughout Italy.

This is what the commissioner for the Covid emergency of General Francesco Figliuolo communicates in a note.

"There are 180,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine arriving as the first load of single-dose serum, announces the emergency commissioner. For the latter vaccine - which can be administered in a single solution - this is the very first supply for the Italy ", reads a note.

"With 4.2 million doses - together with those still available to the Regions - they will contribute significantly to the achievement of the target of the campaign at national level: for the week 16-22 April it is estimated about 315 thousand daily administrations in over 2200 active vaccination points throughout Italy ".

"In the framework of the priorities indicated by the Ordinance no. 6 of the Extraordinary Commissioner, the number of people over the age of 80 who received at least one administration has in the meantime exceeded 3 million, with an increase of 500 thousand units compared to the previous week. In this way, 70% of the audience of over 4.5 million was reached with at least one dose, measured with the 'Health Card' computer system and verified by the Regions / Autonomous Provinces ".
