"The number of hospital beds for coronavirus infected in Tehran province is 6,691, and at the moment they are all occupied," the ISNA news agency quoted the governor as saying.
According to the governor, "the first thing to do is to increase the number of hospital beds."
Earlier, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that there are signs of the onset of the fourth wave of COVID-19 in the country.
