It was during Sunday morning that a water leak occurred on the top floor of Kilström's quay in Karlskrona.

The reason was that a water pipe began to malfunction, which affected four apartments.

Rescue workers worked with the incident during Sunday and on Monday, the property manager Peter Hidnäs believes that the situation is under control.

- Dehumidification is in progress and we are looking at the damage and the extent of it.

We will meet the insurance company that has the property insured and together with construction contractors and moisture technicians, he says.

Relocation for accommodation

Hindnäs says that an apartment is partially damaged and a hall floor will need to be torn out.

In an apartment on the floor below, the damage is greater and residents have been allowed to move out indefinitely.

- Then we have two apartments that are a little less damaged where there is only a little moisture penetration.

In other respects, we have minor errors in this new construction and it is a damage that has been handled in a good way by all parties, he says.
