Leipzig (dpa) - Despite the upcoming end of the season, a club from the Northeast Regional Football League is said to be relegated.

The game committee of the Northeast German Football Association (NOFV) would recommend this to the presidium for its meeting on Friday, reported the “kicker” (Monday).

Otherwise there is a risk that the league will have to be played with 23 teams in the coming season.

This case occurs when Hallesche FC and 1. FC Magdeburg are relegated from the 3rd division.

"We have to stay fit," said the gaming committee chairman Uwe Dietrich.

As a relegated player, the bottom of the table, Bischofswerda, would have to go to the top division.

The club had announced this step anyway, but does not agree with the association's approach.

“We have always said that we would not complain if we were declared relegated.

Our good-naturedness has been used, »said President Jürgen Neumann.

Tasmania Berlin and FC Eilenburg should rise from the upper league, Viktoria Berlin should become champions in the third division.
