Hamburg (dpa / lno) - After a chase with a shot firing on the Autobahn 7 and through parts of Hamburg, the police searched the apartment of the fled driver on suspicion of forging documents.

Search warrants were also obtained for the apartments of his passenger and his mother, as the police announced on Monday.

According to the police, the 18-year-old driver was initially supposed to be checked by officers from the Neumünster Police Department on Friday, but did not stop and instead fled via Autobahn 7 in the direction of Hamburg.

The 18-year-old left the motorway at the Schnelsen-Nord junction and sped through the city.

He endangered the traffic and crashed into the car of a 47-year-old, as the police announced on Monday.

The man was slightly injured.

His one-year-old daughter, who was also in the car, was unharmed.

Shortly afterwards, the police rammed the 18-year-old's car, which only stopped for a moment, and fired several shots at the getaway car.

The 18-year-old finally came to a halt in front of a school and was temporarily arrested, but released shortly afterwards.

His shoulder was injured.

His 15-year-old passenger was not injured.

They found fake Czech identity documents in the trunk, it was said.

The 18-year-old's apartment in the Hamburg district of Langenhorn was searched on Friday evening.

The emergency services found there, among other things, a alarm gun, a special printer, narcotics and other documents.

On suspicion of commercial forgery, the 18-year-old was reportedly arrested again.

However, he was released for lack of grounds for detention.
