TESTIMONY

It's been four months since Magalie adopted a vegan diet.

This diet consists of no longer consuming any product of animal origin.

She explains that since she stopped consuming dairy products, she has regained her energy.

An animal lover, she is delighted with advances in the field of veganism, such as the entry of the first vegan restaurant among the Michelin starred stars.

On "La Libre antenna", Magalie talks about ways to consume better and act in favor of animal protection.

“From a vegetarian diet, I switched to a vegan diet, because I was very tired. A friend said to me: 'You continue to eat dairy products, you should try not to consume any more. I was eating a lot, because I was trying to compensate. I stopped consuming dairy products for four months. The effects are very positive. I have a lot more energy. I had totally lost it. All days, I had to take a nap, it was impossible to do otherwise. Now I don't need it anymore. It's going very well. I have no shortages. I'm very happy.

In the stores, I noticed that there were a lot of alternatives to dairy products.

There are a lot of vegetable milks and vegetable creams.

I buy soy milk, flavored with chocolate.

I no longer consume cow's milk.

The soy yogurts are also very good.

I had trouble at first with the soy cream, but it's like everything, we get used to a taste.

There are delicious coconut milk chocolate mousse.

Before, we had no alternative.

So we stopped everything, and at one point, we felt a terrible lack.

"

I was unaware of the consequences that dairy products had on the health and on the life of the animals

"

People don't know how it is in the dairy industry.

I adopted this vegan diet for my health, but when I found out how it went, I did not regret my choice and I will never go back.

Cows do not give milk except when they are having a baby.

The calf is taken from its mother when it is born and given powdered milk.

We are the ones who consume the mother's milk, until the day she gives less milk and is sent to the slaughterhouse.

It's horrible.

I was unaware of the consequences that dairy products had on the health and on the life of the animals.

There have been advances in animal protection.

A vegan chef has been awarded a star by the Michelin Guide.

This cuisine is recognized and can be gourmet.

It's a great step forward.

In bookstores, I see a lot of vegan cookbooks.

It is not a boring kitchen.

On YouTube, more and more young people are offering vegan recipes and it's free.

Large brands are committed to sourcing eggs from non-intensive farming.

We should not rely too much on political powers, because there are lobbies behind it.

Everyone can act.

If everyone takes action, all these big lobbies have something to worry about.

We have the choice of our food.

It is something that cannot be taken away from us.

We can act either for our health, or for the planet, or for animals.

Animal husbandry has a huge impact on the planet.

It is a gigantic source of pollution.

One can choose to stop consuming or to consume less milk and meat, and to consume better.

You can also sign petitions.

You can support associations and sponsor an animal.

All the publicity is done to make us forget the violence with which our food arrives on our plates.

We see hilarious pigs on the packages or chickens dancing the French cancan.

It’s terrible.

We have the impression that they are happy to go and have their throats slit for our pleasure.

While they care about their lives, so do we.

This is what they have most precious.

Obviously, you have to eat well, but you can choose.

Listen to your heart."
