From Monday to Friday in Media Culture, Eva Roque gives you her TV tips for the evening.

This Monday, she offers us three programs focused on the relationship to the body.

"Sugar" can be seen on France 3 at 11:00 pm, "Wonder Boys" on Arte at 8:50 pm and "Veneno" whenever you want on BrutX.

What programs were selected for this first day of the week and what is the theme that emerges from it?

Eva Roque could have said sex, but it is above all about the relationship to the body.

France 3 broadcasts a moving documentary.

It is titled "Sugar" for Sugar Baby, young girls having financial difficulties and who decide to have a relationship with older and wealthy people.

The director Nina Robert has collected with great delicacy the testimonies of these young women whose fate relates in particular to the precariousness of the youngest.

On Arte, it is indeed a story of sex which underlies the plot of the film "Wonder Boys".

Tripp, a literature teacher lacking inspiration, has just been dumped by his wife.

During one evening, he finds himself with his mistress, president of the university, married to Walter.

Tripp goes to break the news to him.

She also has a little thing to tell him.

This is only the beginning of a series of scenes where nothing goes.

With a gallery of characters all a little crazy: a student in love with Tripp played by a super Michael Douglas, a depressed student, the corpse of a dog and a literary agent who is dating a trans person.

Sex, trans and body, it is also the subject of an excellent Spanish series to see on the new Brut X platform.

Veneno tells the incredible fate of La Veneno, born a boy in Franco's Spain and becoming a star, an icon for the LGBTQ + community in the 90s. The series is an adaptation of his biography written by trans journalist Valeria Vegas, who teenager was fascinated by La Veneno.

A tasty encounter between the star at the end of his career and this young man asking himself many questions about his identity.

It is very successful!

The series oscillates between comedy and drama.

A jubilant and political fiction because it also tells the story of how power treats trans people and how the media system can destroy people.

To sum up :

"Sugar" can be seen on France 3 at 11:00 pm, "Wonder Boys" on Arte at 8:50 pm and "Veneno" when you want on BrutX
