Vechta / Göttingen (dpa / lni) - The bottom of the table Rasta Vechta has new hope in the relegation battle of the basketball Bundesliga.
The Lower Saxony celebrated the first victory with their new head coach Derrick Allen on Saturday evening at 82:69 (37:28) against the Niners Chemnitz.
On Sunday they also received support from the BG Göttingen, who defeated their relegation competitor s.Oliver Würzburg with 96:73 (52:39).

The best thing about this process so far is that they fight and try everything they can in every game to win, ”said Allen.
Six game days before the end of the season, Vechta is now only six points behind a non-relegation zone.
In addition, Rasta (10:46 points) will face rivals Gießen 46ers (12:44), Syntainics MBC (16:42) and Würzburg (16:38) in the last three games.
