Potsdam (dpa / bb) - The Brandenburg state government basically supports the federal government's proposals for uniform corona rules in Germany, but sees a need for change.

"Brandenburg continues to support a nationwide approach," said Vice Government Spokeswoman Eva Jobs on Sunday on request.

"We have already gained experience with the federal proposals mentioned, and we support them in principle."

However, a nationwide regulation must also be legally secure and easy to implement for the districts and independent cities.

"From our point of view, there is still a lot of manual work to be done here."

Because the countries have not implemented the agreed corona measures uniformly and the number of infections is high, the emergency brake should be anchored in law.

In counties with more than 100 new weekly infections per 100,000 inhabitants, the restrictions would then have to be tightened again.

In Brandenburg, such an emergency brake applies in most rural districts and urban districts.

On Tuesday, the federal cabinet wants to bring an amendment to the Infection Protection Act.
