Spandau water polo players start the season with a runaway victory

Potsdam (dpa / bb) - The water polo players from Spandau 04 started the national water polo season 2021 on Saturday after a month-long break.

In the second four-man tournament of Group B of the Bundesliga in the swimming pool of the Potsdamer Stadion Luftschiffhafen, the record champions won against SV Ludwigsburg 08 with 14: 5 (4: 0.5: 1.1: 1.4: 3).

For the opening tournament on March 20 and 21, Spandau had to cancel immediately before the start of the competition after a positive corona test

The best goalscorer of the Spandau, who started without the ailing Marko Stamm and Remi Saudadier, was Lucas Gielen with five goals.

Spandau will play the second game against SG Neukölln on Saturday (5.45 p.m.).

Spandau will meet host Potsdam, who had already defeated the SGN with 2:11 before the Wasserfreunde Match, on Sunday (12:15 p.m.).
