Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo made the event again, after a shot that sparked a lot of controversy after the end of his team's Juventus match against Genoa on Sunday.

Juventus won an easy 3-1 victory over Genoa in the 30th stage of the Italian League, and Ronaldo was unable to score a goal to boost his score, which stopped at 25 goals in the top scorers' standings.

The Portuguese star appeared in footage, throwing his team's shirt after the referee blew the whistle at the end of the match.

The shot sparked widespread controversy, and prompted coach Andrea Pirlo to confirm in statements after the confrontation that the accident is not an indication of Ronaldo's unhappiness at the Old Lady's club.

"He was determined to score. He is one of the heroes who always want to make their mark," Pirlo said. "But it is natural for these things to happen."

Press reports in Italy stated that Ronaldo was not acting out of anger or a lack of respect for his team.

But he simply answered a request from a ball collector on the field, and threw him in his shirt.

This was confirmed after Ronaldo published photos after the match on his accounts on social media, encouraging his companions to move forward in achieving positive results.

🚹🎙 Romeo Agresti:

“Cristiano did not throw his jersey on the ground.

A ball boy asked him for his shirt so he took it off and threw it at him. ”
