"Roskomnadzor sent a letter to the management of Facebook Inc demanding to lift all restrictions and explain the reason for blocking the broadcast of the live broadcast dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's space flight," Roskomnadzor said in a statement.
As stated in the department, such actions of the American Internet company violate the key principles of the free flow of information and are an act of censorship.
The decision of Facebook limits access to materials "about Russia's achievements in space, the development of domestic technologies and science, which made it possible to carry out the first ever manned space flight," the Roskomnadzor stressed.
On April 9, Facebook blocked the RT stream for the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's flight into space under the pretext of copyright infringement.
