April 11, 2021A victim of pedophilia received a maxi-compensation of 1.5 million Australian dollars (about 1 million euros) from the Catholic Church, shortly before the start of the trial. The man, now 58, was a student of the Christian Brothers 'St Alipius' Primary School in Ballarat, Victoria between 1971 and 1973.



He claims he was abused by Brother Leo Fitzgerald and Brother Stephen Farrell, his teachers . The man was also a 'target' of his predatory father, Father Gerald Ridsdale, who was a priest from the diocese of Ballarat, now in prison. The Australian press writes it.
