"The Vologda Transport Prosecutor's Office organized a check of the legislation on safety during the operation of railway transport upon the fact of a locomotive derailing on the access road of uncommon use of the Ertsevo station in the Konosha district of the Arkhangelsk region on April 11 at 16:18 Moscow time," TASS reports.
It is noted that, according to preliminary data, "the descent of all wheelsets of the locomotive occurred during its movement along the turnout switch."
“There are no casualties, there are no oil spills,” the ministry said.
All the circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
Earlier it was reported that as a result of a collision of a freight train and a truck at a railway crossing at the Yemetsa station in the Plesetsk district of the Arkhangelsk region, one person died.
