Cologne (AP) - The Cologne right-back Kingsley Ehizibue is to be replaced in the Bundesliga game against FSV Mainz 05 on Sunday evening because of suspected concussion.
The 25-year-old professional footballer had previously collided with Jonathan Burkardt from Mainz, who in turn had to be replaced later.
“He was totally blown at half time and not in good shape after the game.
That didn't look good at all, ”said Cologne coach Markus Gisdol after the game that was lost 3-2.
Defender Ehizibue has yet to undergo further investigation.
Burkardt got the arm of Cologne's Jorge Meré in the face in the second half and had to leave the pitch.
Mainz coach Bo Svensson said on TV channel Sky after the game that he assumed that the 20-year-old attacker would be back on the training ground in the coming days.
