Munich (dpa / lby) - Since the weekend, the incidence value of new corona infections in Munich has again been above the critical level of 100. However, due to data problems, it is unclear what consequences this will have, the city announced on Sunday.

That will now be clarified with the responsible authorities.

According to the figures from the Bavarian State Office for Public Health, the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days in Munich on Sunday was 116.4 (as of April 11, 8 a.m.).

According to the figures from the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the seven-day incidence for the state capital was only 94.4.

The city only loosened the Corona emergency brake last Wednesday after the incidence value had fallen below 100 over the Easter weekend.

Should this be over 100 for three consecutive days, stricter corona rules would apply again.

The decisive factor is actually the value published by the RKI, according to the city of Munich.

However, day-care centers and schools remain open all week, regardless of developments.

For this, the last working day of the previous week is always decisive - i.e. Friday when the value in Munich was still below 100.

Throughout Bavaria, the seven-day incidence on Sunday rose to 138.7 according to the RKI figures and to 148.2 according to the LGL figures.

The nationwide front runner was once again Hof with 534.4 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week.

Coburg is now pulling the Corona emergency brake due to the persistently high number of infections.

The number of infections in the city is currently increasing rapidly due to the aggressive Corona variant B.1.1.7, said Mayor Dominik Sauerteig (SPD) on Sunday.

From Monday, there is a nightly curfew between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Museums and many shops have to close again.

Contacts are also restricted.
