Kiel (dpa / lno) - After the corona-related cancellation of the home game against Jahn Regensburg, the schedule chaos for the second division football team Holstein Kiel is perfect.

"The decision presents us with major challenges for the rest of the season," said sports director Uwe Stöver.

"We have no choice but to accept and accept this situation as well."

Previously, the DFL had granted the Kielers requested cancellation of the game.

Because after the positive Corona finding with goalkeeper Ioannis Gelios, parts of the team and the coaching team had to go into quarantine at home by order of the responsible health department.

"I would like to be able to prepare properly for a game again," complained coach Ole Werner when he found out about the Gelios corona case.
