“The investigation of the criminal case opened against a 31-year-old resident of the city of Megion on the fact of hitting a police officer continues,” the report says.
As noted, at the request of the investigator, the accused was taken into custody as a preventive measure.
The man was charged with committing crimes under Part 2 of Art.
318 of the Criminal Code of Russia (Use of violence dangerous to life and health against a government official) and Art.
264.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia (Violation of traffic rules by a person subject to administrative punishment).
Earlier in Megion, a drunk driver ran into a police officer and drove him on the hood of a car for more than 1 km. The policeman tried to stop the car, but the driver increased the speed.
