Saarbrücken (dpa / lrs) - In Saarland, the health authorities registered a further 66 corona cases within one day.

This was announced by the Ministry of Health in Saarbrücken on Sunday (as of 4 p.m.).

The nationwide incidence, i.e. the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within the past 7 days, was 121.1 after 125.0 the previous day.

In the regions, the Neunkirchen district had the highest incidence with 160.7, the St. Wendel district the lowest with 54.2.

The number of deaths associated with the coronavirus remained at 947. A total of 33,614 infections have been detected across the country since the pandemic began.

Currently, 2204 people are currently actively infected.

169 patients were treated in hospitals, 53 of them in an intensive care unit.
