The Stern Report was issued on behalf of the UK Government to provide an economic analysis of climate change.

When it was published in 2006, it became widespread and has since been used extensively in climate work.

Today, 15 years later, Nicholas Stern states that many of the consequences that were predicted for the climate have occurred to a faster and greater extent than expected.

- We said at the time of the report that the threats we face are very serious.

It has turned out that they are even more serious than we then realized.

Technology, on the other hand, has evolved faster than we thought.

So scientifically, it is clearly worse than expected, but technically clearly better, says Nicholas Stern.

In the last two or three years, he seems to see more hopeful work from both politicians and the private sector.

- There is a lot that is hopeful, the financial sector, the rapid technology development, but above all the young people.

Of all that is hopeful, young people are the most important, says Nicholas Stern.
