This was reported by the press service of the social network.

VKontakte may be held administratively liable for YouTube videos calling for rallies.

Roskomnadzor filed a case on VKontakte's failure to comply with the requirements to suppress the spread of calls to participate in unsanctioned rallies to court, ”the statement said.

It is noted that in the case materials there are eight posts containing links to YouTube videos.

The social network is accused of not deleting these posts in a timely manner after receiving a request from the Russian department.

“As part of the proceedings, VKontakte was forced to restrict access to this content on social networks in the Russian Federation.

At the same time, it remains available to Russians at other sites, "the press service added.

Earlier, a court in Moscow fined Twitter under three administrative protocols drawn up by Roskomnadzor for a total of 8.9 million rubles.

The reason for this was the company's refusal to remove publications containing calls for minors to participate in unauthorized actions.
