Erfurt (dpa / th) - In the opinion of the Thuringian General Practitioner Association, fluctuations in corona vaccine deliveries must not be at the expense of the general practitioners' practices that have just entered the vaccination campaign.

Unilaterally carrying out such fluctuations in delivery on the back of the practices is completely unacceptable, said association chief Ulf Zitterbart on Friday.

He also opposed supplying Pfizer / Biontech and Moderna vaccines to vaccination centers alone and Astrazeneca to doctors' offices because of the increased need for advice.

According to the Thuringian State Chancellery, around 54,000 more vaccine doses from Pfizer / Biontech, Moderna and, for the first time, Johson & Johnson are expected in the coming week.

Corona vaccinations had also started in general practitioners' practices in Thuringia this week.

With the entry of hundreds of practices, the vaccination campaign has gained momentum.

According to figures from the State Chancellery on Friday, more than 335,500 people have now received at least one injection, that is 15.7 percent of the population.

From Thursday to Friday alone, the number of people vaccinated for the first time increased by more than 16,200. For second vaccinations, the rate is 6.5 percent.
