Menailo commented on his appointment to the post of interim head of North Ossetia

And appointments are always unexpected, ”he said.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the resignation of Vyacheslav Bitarov from the post of head of North Ossetia.

He also invited the plenipotentiary of the president to the Siberian Federal District, Sergei Menyailo, to become the interim head of North Ossetia.

Menyailo announced that he plans to arrive in North Ossetia on April 12.
