Hamburg (dpa / lno) - With cocaine in the blood and a tow team that was too long, the police stopped a 36-year-old in Hamburg-Bahrenfeld.

The truck driver was noticed by officials of the traffic relay on the Autobahn 7 on Thursday while he was towing a tractor unit with a trailer with his vehicle, the police announced on Friday.

It was said that only towing the tractor unit without a trailer would have been permissible.

Officials stopped the man after leaving the highway, the police said.

At the next check-up he was tested positive for cocaine after a first suspicion with a drug test, followed by a blood test.

Administrative offense reports were filed against the man.

He was also banned from driving for three months, as well as two points in the register of fitness to drive, and had to pay a fine.

The 36-year-old admitted that he had temporarily given up his driver's license in the past because of narcotics consumption.
