Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Baden-Württemberg's Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann (reasons) has welcomed the turnaround in the corona strategy of the federal and state governments.

Kretschmann said on Friday in Stuttgart: "We have already signaled several times that we consider a framework that ensures more uniformity, traceability and legal certainty across national borders to be useful and necessary."

It is therefore absolutely right to anchor the rules of the emergency brake as binding in the Federal Infection Protection Act from an incidence of 100.

Previously, the round planned for Monday by Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) with the state prime ministers had been canceled.

Instead, the Infection Protection Act is to be sharpened in an urgent procedure.

Kretschmann said: “But to be clear: The federal states already have all the instruments in hand to effectively implement the emergency brake.

That's how we do it in Baden-Württemberg. "

The fact that some hesitated here is incomprehensible in view of the pandemic situation.

A postponement of the Prime Minister's Conference had previously been indicated.

It was also made necessary by a push by the leaders of the coalition factions in the Bundestag.

The parliamentary group leaders Ralph Brinkhaus (CDU) and Rolf Mützenich (SPD) as well as CSU regional group leader Alexander Dobrindt had in a letter to Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) and the chairman of the Prime Minister's Conference, Berlin's Governing Mayor Michael Müller (SPD), a debate in the Bundestag before the next Bund-Länder-Round required.

The Bundestag meets from Wednesday to Friday.
