Bremen (dpa / lni) - A 15-year-old attacked and injured two employees of a supermarket in Bremen with a broken bottle.
As the police announced on Friday, the employees had caught the youth stealing on Thursday evening.
The police temporarily arrested the 15-year-old.
After the initial investigation, the teenager wanted to steal a pair of sneakers.
When the shop detective arrested the 15-year-old, the teenager pulled a wine bottle from the shelf, smashed it and attacked the 54-year-old with it.
A 28-year-old employee rushed to the shop detective's help, whereupon the 15-year-old inflicted severe cuts in both men.
During the arrest, the youth tried to injure himself and spat at the emergency services.
Police are investigating theft, assault, resistance to law enforcement officers and libel.
