This week, the intensive care unit at Vrinnevis Hospital in Norrköping was full.

16 patients were admitted.

Fullness is in itself a relative concept.

If there are more patients, you simply have to solve that situation, but the care will not be as good.

- It is quite obvious with the coating we have on infection, ward 99 and here at IVA that people do not take care of themselves, says Jimmy Jonsson, who works as a nurse at IVA in Norrköping.

Recently, the number of patients needing different forms of care for covid-19 has increased again.

- With this development we have had in the last week, I am worried that it will be as it was a year ago, says Jimmy Jonsson.

The hardest thing, according to him, is that patients can become so incredibly ill.

Taking a breath can be an incredible effort.

If the patient recovers, it can still be a long way back.

Anyone who has been asleep with respiratory assistance for several weeks has a hard time coming back.

You have probably heard it before, but healthcare professionals all over Sweden still say the same thing.

Jimmy Jonsson is no exception.

- We're tired of this pandemic now.
